OK, I took the new DJ5 to rehearsal and it was crazy.... I almost went home, the darn bass was all but playing itself!!! I looked down and was actually playing on the "B" string instead of using it as a thumb-rest.

I have two CHI-equipped Laklands that have CHI-buckers installed under MM covers, my personal choice/favorite.... I'm used to that MM cover under my thumb. Here is one of 'em..
I've talked to Carl, they don't (or at least didn't at that time) install a single/bucker setup ala J/MM. So, I opted for 2 buckers w/ a switch to go to single coils if I want, but I never do. The buckers just KILL.

God...I was lost on that thing!
Actually...I had a fretless unlined 6 string Aria Pro about 12 years ago...so I lost two strings over the years
