Quick question for the laklanders.

I have been looking into the possibility of buying and American made JO series 5
string. I haven't seen any with block inlays though. Is it possible to order a JO5 with a
maple neck and black block inlays and binding?

I am pretty sure on the american series you can order anything you want...so YES!!!

BTW - if ya don't like the Fretless I have a beautiful Black n' Maple Fender USA P-bass ;-)....I can put a Lakkie Decal on the Headstock and switch the bridge...oh yeah refinish it 3tb...

Really, if Dan & co. wished to upsize the biz, they could think about refinishing and refining all sorts of basses - they do PLEK unLakies' already, right?
BTW, last night I thought it would be cool to have an option of US-like treatment of Skyline necks. That would narrow the gap, wouldn't it. Don't know if Dan liked it tho.

UNTIL you play a BG....I had a GREAT 50th anniversary Fender P (Butterscotch and maple neck) that was really nice....was a "keeper" - well, after having my BG for a week or so, the Fender went on the block....

try a BG and then see......(I even rhymed it for you young man!!)

I do think Dan wants new clients to buy BASSES (US or Skyline) BUT a bass sale is a bass sale...the money is all the same color right (well not really - we are the only country in the world with boring "single color" money...but we are trying!).....

I meant that, dealers would seldom have US Lakland on hand, is that correct?
As to the color choice - whatever it takes to make the B3 Boomer possible!

Ha, that's what my mom always said to me when she'd try to get me to eat oatmeal... "it'll stick to your ribs" I was always a skinny kid, ran off all my calories haha.

hmm, it's 3AM and I can't sleep... hungry too... I'm gonna have some oatmeal, seriously haha, w/ some maple syrup and mucho butter. Mmmmmm.

I live 20 min from Oak Ridge, birthplace of the nuclear bomb, and KNOWN source of the highest cancer rates in the US due to radiation in our water... so I guess you could say that I'll be having some RADIOACTIVE oatmeal LOL.
