Hey All, I just picked this up from The Butler.
I'll post more of my own pics when I receive it tomorrow.
It's hard to wait and will be even harder waiting to get home from work to play it. :bassist::bassist::bassist:

Thank GOD!!!!! this bass is finally sold.
I was thinking bad things I could sell to buy it.
That is the classic P-bass as far as I am concerned.
Enjoy, its a real beauty. That classis Jamerson vibe

I like both but would go for something i don't already have. So something other than Lake Placid Blue, T Burst, Mary Kaye White, Inca Silver or Fiesta Red. Aside from Firemist/Shoreline Gold, I like Seaform Green, Teal Green Metallic, Sonic Blue and Daphne Blue.

Well...I'd do that too. If I do a custom Glaub, it would be Trans black, or brown sparkle....I do like some of the sea foam-ish type colors too.

I hear you. A metallic Root Beer would be sweet. I've seen a couple neat brown finishes out there that are pretty slick. Some other things that would be cool but would involve a custom order would be:

congrats on a GREAT combo!!!!

is the bass new or used? I ask since I want to know the pickup....newer = Lakland; older = Fralin....

It's a newer bass, so I was concerned that the Lakland pup would sound too 'modern', but when I turn the tone off it sounds beautiful, just what I was looking for... And I haven't even put flats on it yet. I bought it off a guy on Craigslist - he was selling it for his wealthy, recently widowed (widower-ed?) uncle who has a bit of a pack-rat syndrome - has dozens of basses, they said. The bass still had the factory plastic on it, I don't think it was played much if at all. Paid $700.

Both my cabs are vintage Acoustics as well.

This was probably covered in "Lakland Owners Thread #13" but just want to pipe up now: I just rec'vd my LOG T-shirt for renewing my membership and it is SWEET! Great job on the design Markus. The chain link fence is a nice touch too (I visited Lakland once). Anyone "sitting on the fence" (heh) about becoming a member on the LOG site, should not hesitate - this shirt is too cool for school.

*Warning this shirt may cause GAS when you see it.*

I'd just like to request in case anything happens to me everybody please make sure I'm buried in this T-Shirt. Want to look good.
