LAKLAND OWNERS GROUP #25

I'm sure it's a "US-only" option... so I'll probably never be able to afford one, but dear lord that would be sweet.

I'd love to get a 4/44 that is semi-hollow as well. Kinda like the Moduluses (modulii?)

Hey guys,

Proud LOG member here. My only Lakland is a beautiful one-of-a-kind Jerry Scheff Fretless....

It's stamped "JS10" on the headstock. According to Dan Lakin (from the LOG forum):

"Bass was made in later 2005. I had it here as a demo until I sold it in June of 2006. It is the only fretless Scheff ever made. I hope you enjoy it! I hated to see it go"

I also heard from Lakland that they used to take this bass to NAMM, and Tal Wilkenfeld played it once. I imagine she played it a lot better than I ever will!

She's a BEAUTY!!!

my alltime favorite fretless!!! if you ever decide to sell, you let me know. ive got a skyline fretless scheff and i will never, ever sell it. unless i ended up with a U.S. somehow, but considering you own the only one, i guess that will probably be never.

I want. I can kinda play guitar, very poorly, but I can get by, does that justify it?
Will Lakland ever produce guitars, what do the masses think?

Luke.

No. It was brought up a little at the GTG, and again when a few of us went to dinner with Dan afterwards. Seems like the failure of PRS trying to make basses was brought up as an example.

But you could try out their "cousin" company.... http://www.hansonmusicalinstruments.com/
