and yes Aaron, I DO have a maple neck coming for the Scheff!!

You aren't the only OCD one here, though I never thought I was... about color anyway!! LOL...

Very cool, Terry! I like her as a brunette or a blonde. Is that a Glaub neck or a JO? And I'm glad to hear you worked out a deal for that Scheff! Wait, have you had one of those before?:D

So THAT'S where that neck was going.... Leo showed us a black on black Glaub, but said the neck was sold....

I wondered where he came up with the maple neck... but I wasn't asking any questions, if you know what I mean!?!?!
I think she looks awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Leo, you da man!!!!!

I think I need some help. I'm growing less fond of my Peavey Cirrus everyday. Something about it just doesn't do it for me, and I'm playing my Spector more frequently again. I'm finding that I really want a nice Jazz bass, and the DJ is the one for me. I've looked at the classifieds here, and on the LOG, but have found mostly 5 strings, or people not looking for trades. If you guys hear or see anybody trying to unload one and considering trades, want to shoot me a PM? Thanks in advance for any help.

Will do! Good luck!

LOL! I say that about 4 strings. I guess because I play 99% in church / worship music gigs, a 5'er is indispensable for on the fly transposing and key changes. Nothing beats the low B on my Dingwall (oops did I just say that in a Lakland thread!!) ;)

I'll say this, my first Lakland was a 55-02 and the 35" low B is what attracted me to Lakland. I was subbing at a church once that had subs under the stage. There was a song that had a break in the middle where the bass lands on a low C and holds it for a full measure. Half the singers turned around and stared in bewilderment at me. I pointed to the keys player! :hiding:

Xavier.....will let you pass on this one......

I agree...a fiver is indispensible in a church setting!

what song was that? we need to do it......

Hi Everybody! /drnick

so now i'm lookin for a 5 string jazz and i've finally made the decision to buy my way back into the Lakland family. :hiding:

i was going to make a different purchase, but i've found that i have to stick with things i've tried or i'll just keep going on the buying/selling frenzy.

in other news (since i haven't posted extensively for a while), i now have a ShuttleMax 12.0 and 2 GenzBenz neo 212 cabs. I absolutely love this rig. it's so killer, lol...hard to describe. no pics of it together since one of the cabs is at the guitar players house for practices, etc.

still rocking the stingray, but i have an empty USA Lakland case sitting in the corner waiting for a black DJ or JO 5 string. :ninja:

not sure if "Welcome bacK" are the right words or not.......

(oh bother! I thought we were finally through with him!)
