LAKLAND OWNERS GROUP #27

Ah...I though I remembered something about the neck being asymmetrical... My Tobias was that way. Thicker at the top E string, and thinner at the G. So the neck is like my 4-07 then. That's cool...I LOVE that neck! It's a tie for me between that neck and the HB's neck.
it was made custom a little thinner front to back, i bought it from Helena and she has small hands,

it feels just like my 4-94 neck just a little thinner, it feels really nice.
i was a little scared i may not like the neck, but im happy with it!

Listen,
Every single one of you are ridiculous. You all have way too many Laklands and I'm sick of seeing you all go on about them day in and day out.
So what one of you needs to do is get one of your thousands of Lakland 4-94s floating around this thread and trade it for my bass. It's a Lakl...over. Something like that...the name esacpes me right now, I'm sure it's close. Besides, we don't need to tell anybody that you're trading for a non-Lakland.
So silently, in the comfort and security of your own home, click on my link below and do something for humanity.
I had the misfortune of ordering a 55-94 when I should have ordered a 4-94. Now i'm a broken man, a "dead man walking" is what co-workers murmur about me as they see me walk by.

UPS guy just stopped by to explain what happened.
Apparently when he dropped a delivery off at the Glass warehouse, he accidentally scanned my package. He figured, eh, no big deal:help: "It'll get there in a few hours. Little did he know how big of a stir he was about to create:D

He was very apologetic and seemed genuine.

All is well that ends well:cool:

That's really sweet Matty, Congrats!

On an unrelated note, I was in Bass Emporium this morning and checked out their Lakland inventory. For the first time, I couldn't really tell much difference between the US and Skylines. The Indonesian models are really nice. They have a great Hollowbody that was really tempting. Someone should pick it up.

That being said, I'm still going to order a US so I can get a short-scale.

If you have a 55-94, I have a 44-94, a rare one at that if you wanna send me a pic of the 55-94.

Yeah, honestly, other than a few little nitpicky things, the quality of my Skyline JO5 pretty much rivals the BG5. I don't think you can go wrong with any Lakland being built right now.

Oh, so it never got dropped at the wrong location, just scanned in error. That's better at least.

I just purchased my 16th Lakland...

Anyone know who holds the record for most laklands owned? I posed this question in LOG #20-#21.

5 - JO5's
4 - 55-02's
3 - DJ5's
3 - BG's
1 - HB
It's gotta be Terry/buffordbass. No question, IMO.

What'd you get?
