I was told that it would bolt right up, and I would leave the headstock black...I think a black headstock would look cool on a 3TB glaub with all the black around the edges.

hey, that's my home town! i live there! seriously, i live in the shack behind BE! (they don't know yet, so please don't tell. i plan on breaking it to them gently by giving them liquor and cheese plates)
that said, i'll be there!!
interesting.
tell me more.

Moving from Ken Smith Slickrounds to DR Nickel Lo Riders.
I had that issue when I had tried them on my 55-02 a while ago. Had to adjust the truss a tad to compensate. I liked the sound of the Lo's a lot, but ended up growing tired of the stiffness. Felt like I was fighting the strings too much. I need a bit more slinkyness to hit maximum groove mojo.
BTW, not to dis anything Lakland, but I switched up the strings on my newer 55-02D (that I had complained about not being able to dial in a good tone with the LH-3) from Lakland strings to my tried and true DR Hi Beams... much, MUCH, better.
I was almost scared I might have to get rid of the bass for a bit there, thinking the LH-3 wasn't for me. No such issue now.

Can some kind BG (or BG5) owner please give me the measurement from the apex of the Lakland bridge to the back of the of the split pickup on the D/G pickup?
If anyone owns 'that other brand' of P bass, can I get a similar saddle to pickup measurement?

Drinking to a substance abuser's recovery... the irony
well whatever it's called i'm really going to have to try one soon. same mixture ratio as Jack and Coke, right?
honestly, i'd mix cream soda and crown.
i'd never drink crown straight, but it mixes pretty well.
should i still look into joining the club?
p.s. Maker's or Bulleit, anyone?
Well, I had an "off" night at the gig tonight I suppose: couldn't see my sidedots or hear myself for the first half of the set (rushed soundcheck and crappy lighting). And I hate to hang my head over to stare at the front of the fretboard.
But, the energy level was thru the roof! That's probably more important to the audience than nailing every note anyways. I had a very small area to flail around in, but used every inch haha, nearly fell over the drum kit once, and later I banged Traci's headstock into a house spkr cab. I'll check for damage tomorrow. I'm ready for the chastising....
My guitarist asked me to try to adjust it down a bit, cause I was overpowering him, when I used the MXR. I didn't see a problem.

Here is my first Lakland . . .

Hmmm...what about a
ACDJCS?
I am thinking about parting out a decade....Neck on my glaub, and routing the ACDJ for the CS's. What do you think?
