Put down my Lakies long enough to go see a movie last night. I wore my LOG shirt (anxiously awaiting the NEW LOG Swingers shirt BTW).......my basses are all sluts.....sluts are HOT :D.

Saw Paranormal Activity, and loved it! So realistic! Ranks in the top paranormal/demon movies for me, right up there w/ the Exorcist.

sooo excited over your BG5! rock on... or... church on? whatever! I'm thinking how to get me one - and you're keeping me hot and boiling

Switching between the russian and english keyboard I'm accustomed too. It's Ctrl+Shift at home vs. Alt+Shift at work that change them that bug me =)

My beloved Traci. Yes her carpet doesn't match her drapes, but I don't care. My right hand likes to hang out near the carpet while my left grasps her by the neck firmly, so she knows who is in contr...... whoops thought I was on the P*ntho**e website again :D.

Has anyone else bought the supposed "SUPER Longs" only to find that they're about 1/4" too short for 35" scale, even strung on top of the bridge?? Or maybe I just got jipped somehow?

Anyways, the SLs that I got off ebay the other day were still too short for my Lakies, and required trimming of the thread at the tuner end, on all the strings :rollno:. Trimming, I don't mind ('cept I stabbed my finger once--thank God for bass calluses), but the tapering started BEFORE the nut on the B and E. As I tuned up the B, the taper popped up over the nut edge. But, not so lucky w/ the E... I had to leave some thread/twine around it in the nut slot, to compensate for the lost diameter. But it still buzzes a little when I play it open.

I checked the plastic inner wrapper, and it DID say "SL", so they didn't get mis-packaged or swapped by the seller. I don't know how old they are, didn't buy 'em from a store, but they had the current "look".

Anybody else bought SLs and have any input? I plan on calling D'addario. I don't spend that much $$ on strings that aren't up to par! Plus I want more sets for my other 5ers, and wanna know that they're right straight outta the box.

Oh, Doude... this set had a little more than 1/8" more useable B string then the set you sent me, but the twine started in the same spot :confused:, so maybe those were SLs too. Dunno.

BTW, I would compliment everyone's sexy Lakie collections but there's only so many ways to say wow.

I love them all and can't wait to make it to a GTG so I can see them in person, even (I should say, especially) the 4 stringers.... the Glaubs, DSed Glaubs, DSed Decades, Chi'ed Decades, 44-07s, Barted HBs, custom DJs and JOs..... all basses that I've never had the luxury to see in person. I'm so deprived!

thanks my Russian friend.....they are a matching set of nordstrand....built as a "set" for the PJ set up...the J is actually a split coil as well. if you are VERY observant, you will see that the P pickup has been reversed since I posted the "in process" picture....this was due to the way the J pickup is split...according to the Lakie guys; they had to put it in that direction or I would get all kinds of hummmmm from the J....even played alone, the J is humless (at least on my punny rig).....love it!!!

My D'addario nickel rounds that I have on my 4-07 and JOCS fretted have a short e string. Had to go through the bridge on that one. Strange...love the strings, but it would be nice to have an E string that is long enough to go through the body on a 34" scale bass:hmm::spit:
