Also, if I remember right, the placement of the NP5's halves on Doude's BG5PJ was changed due to the RF issue, so this happens

you know...you are right....my P pickup is reverse of what Dave's is.....maybe that is the fix...flip the P pickup....

yeh - and I get a call from a friend of mine from Cinnci this morning!!!! rubbing it all in......

missed the game but does not sound like I missed much....

BTW - I CAN root for 'Da Bears when they are not playing the green and gold!!!

Ah no. You see i changed the pup after the gig but before the pics so it was reversed when i got it from the shop and so it was already picking up the noise. Now that i have reversed it maybe it will be ok but i wont know untill sat as i cant get it to buzz at home.

I think ill have to end up getting a new jazz pup.

Where were you playing it when it was buzzing before? Were there any neon signs around? Are your pickup cavities well shielded? Could be dirty power as well.

I had a gig at this one place where I brought both my DJ5's (one stock the other with the Audere pre and Nord hum-canceling PUPS) and they both picked up RF. The one with the Nord's slightly less, but it was still there. Something was clearly whacked out with the power at the place as I was getting a horrible ground loop from my pedal board too... couldn't even use it.

Have had no to very little issue with RF-type interference at most other places.

Yes, its the lights that must be doing it.
At home all is fine, especially since i dont have a CRT monitor, just LCD now.
The shop was pretty bad, there was a slight clicking when any of the metal hardware was touched so i know its not the ideal place. We went upstairs and it was a lot better but still buzzed quite a bit. The gig was also a small stage with a lot of lights so again, its not ideal.
Im pretty clueless to most of this but i assumed that if both pups were on then noise wouldnt be a big issue. Ive done around 8 or 9 gigs with the DJ5 (as it used to be) and never had any noise.
The DJ5 control cavity hasn't been shielded as far as i can tell. At least, its as it came from the factory.
