Yeh but I like his "accompaniment" ALOT better......yours LOOKS like the dreaded "F" word.....is it hum?????![]()
No doubt about it, I just WANT a CAR Dunn! Justifying it is usually what gets me in trouble! I've made some good justifications and some bad ones over the years. I just really took a beating on the Fretless 55-02 I bought then sold. I don't want to make a similar mistake here. I know I'll love the bass. It is just a P bass. And it looks beautiful. I'm just afraid I'll wind up only using my DJ since it does what the Dunn does plus more.
Another part of me wants to pickup another DJ and string it with flats as that would give me a LOT of other options!![]()
I got my Lakland Owners Group t-shirt in today. I'm too legit to quit!
Me likey- ALOT!!!!! creative Luke....VERY creative! maybe we can get that to Dan for his perusal.....feel free to e-mail him the pic......
Yeah, those are some sweet shirts.
Hey Marcus, design some more so I can get more![]()
All this P/Glaub/Dunn talk is very timely for me.
I've been loving my JO-CS but keep thinking I would like to have a P-bass with flats on it for some old school sounds. Only problem is I can't play a P neck so I need a J neck.
I know the Skyline Dunn has a J neck but I'm just not into red and I think the blocks are a little too much for a P. I wish Lakland would make a Skyline Glaub with the JO neck in olympic white. I just love the look of a white P with a tort guard and rosewood board...OR.... sonic blue with a maple board would be tempting as well. Alright, I'd settle for a burst Glaub with a JO neck. They've got all the parts, just make me one already!!!!!
Too bad I can't afford a US made Glaub.
Rock on!
Good news for me!
I will get to play my first Lakland this Saturday! (It's Tuesday in Australia now)
I'm pumped....
P.S. I know I touched on this topic last thread, but I've been listening to the audio clips on the website as well as some Ed Friedland 55-02 one's, and I'm GASing majorly
doude wave!
God I love these. Still looking for a $500 lakie![]()
yahoo!!! let us know what you think......he he.....you will no longer be a Lakland-virgin.....then you will be Lakie-whipped! (is that clean enough???? can I say that? I just did...so there!)
Hahaha, that's great
Here is a pic of the new addition spending a little quality time with his brother

gotta get us to 30,000 SOMEHOW!
as for a $500 Lakie - seriously - surf the net (GC, Ebay, Craig's list etc - ALL OVER) you MAY be able to find a 44-01 for a slight bit above $500 or so....seriously.....
PS - thanks for riding the wave......I have MORE fun creating them than you have reading them...really I do....I KNOW people never read them.....especially Markus and Evan!
Me? Email Dan? I don't think I'm worthy, haha.
Maybe one of his faithful customers would be better off doing it, rather then some Lakland poser,![]()
Aaron....those look GREAT together AND they are different colors! Do you go through the "shakes" every time you pick the Natty DJ up????? nice way to mix it up......congrats again on a simply great pair!
