I know there is a section for this but I figured I would throw this in with the Lakland thread where people might be interested.

I found this listing for a Glaub that used to be mine. The seller doesn't mention this (and I am not sure he knows) but I had Lakland apply a US finish to the back of the neck and add a bone nut. (This was before Pleking so bone nuts weren't a standard option). Hand picked for me by the guys at Lakland for the weight and grain. It was a later model so it has the Lakland pickup.

So Korean made, hand done fret work, Lakland pickup, optional tort guard, bone nut and US finish on the neck.

they look ok...I personally prefer the stock knobs, but that's just me.

They're awful. Send them to me (with whatever that stripey thing is that they're attached to) and I'll take care of them for you. No charge....

They're different. I guess I would prefer that fatter/thinner look to having all really small knobs.

They didn't make skulls or dice that fit?

Can't stand the dice! These are 1" wide...there not the normal little knobs. I don't like that on a HB either...should be bigger, like these.

Got a Skyline DJ4 coming on Weds and US JO probably next week. coming into the fold with a bang I will post pics of the happy family when I get it together...Does anybody know where I can pick up a pu chrome cover for the JO? If so how much? Thanks

I love the chrome, but the jury is out on the size. Sorta big. But I may come around. I have a history of liking things a little out of the ordinary.

They are on the bigger side, but that what I see with hollow bodies. This is a big body...so I think it works.

Thanks! I feel...it needed a little more contrast that the black plastic knobs were givin' it. On a light colored bass, I think the black worked, but with this dark bass it just needed something to set off the rest of the chrome.
