Here's a new photo of my Dakota Red BG with the new blood red tort from Jeannies. Classic 60s look.

I wish you guys coulda heard Kobol earlier! With the chromes, treble rolled back to about 20%, bass boosted to 70%, Shuttle 6.0 set flat, Acme low B2 cab.... Sounded so fat, smooth & powerful. If I plucked near the neck, I got this FAT thump like a hollowbody on Redbulls, over the pup was DEEELISH for the stuff we were creating: classic rock inspired 12 string Takamine guitar played in a way reminiscent of early Heart stuff + spastic drums and me letting Kobol shine. It was sooo much fun!

Oh, this is the fusion trio, not Third Obsession.

sounds fun!!!! like the concept...anything for the LOG CD????

I'm playing through a Nemesis NC212 combo. It's light and loud, but the sound is never quite bright or clear enough. I think I want a Hartke Hydrive setup, although I haven't tried one yet. I miss my GK that fried a few years ago. As far as basses go, a US Lakland is nowhere near my budget.:rollno:

I have a Hartke VX2510 (twin 10s and a horn and 200+ watts) - sounds "OK" but I will say that my basses sound MUCH better diect into the mix which is how I play when I do....

as for a nice used Sky JO - there are a few nice ones around from time to time.....love mine.....one of my favorites actually...

Just doin my part to try to keep it interesting!!

The 55-94 is great, but my small hands are just not making the 5er work. Played her tonight on an early gig... ugly... lots of missed notes. I have 2 sets of flats coming and will try one of them first... but a US Glaub may be in my future... gotta hedge my bets, right?!?!?

Terry....Terry....Terry....when will you learn????? a 5er just AINT for ya.....

but - I should not say anything.....keeps us all in basses!

I have not done a "Terry-deal" yet....maybe this is my turn?

it has Barts - right? well, those would have to go....and since it IS already dinged, a refin may be in order......hmmmmm....

however, I think JJ has dibs before me.....

A US Glaub????? yowsa!!! have a lead on one?

First run with the Dunn turned out really nice! It does sit perfectly in the mix. I even tried rolling the tone completely off like Pino does, and it still sounded great. Full with lots of fundamental. Very promising, especially considered this gig last night was with a little latin jazz group where you wouldn't normally see a P bass.

There ya go!!!! glad you liked it.....Ps seem to have a different personality when played with others vs alone.....they definitely "like to play with others" congrats!:D

Knowing you, you'll get a custom US Glaub w/ jazz taper neck.

HEY, Inca w/ matching headstock, pearl blocked ebony board w/ black PG would be striking!!

edit: don't forget the "Bull" deflector

Like EVERYTHING 'cept the "Bull" deflector...well, and I would make it a 5 banger of course :D

this calls for a "Markus special" photoshop!!!!
