Oh thanks...now I was calzones!.....

...AND stout!

sorry my friend....no good source for mail order calzones.....drinking a nice light stout now though....New Belguim brewery (same people that do fat tire) makes one called 1554...an "enlightened black ale"...flavor of a stout (with an ale after taste) but not so thick or filling....really good...try it...

Haha, I've been calling the T.O. guys to try to get a jam session together this week so I can hear it in the hard rock mix. No doubt, I'll get the "eh, it's no 55-94" response. :hmm:

I'll use it Thurs w/ the bipolar fusion trio I told you 'bout LOL. I'm sure it'll fit in there just fine.

"bipolar fusion trio "????? now what in the heck is THAT????

PS - tell your drummer to get his act in gear....I need songs!

Since the LOG is down, I will spout off here....I was playing my latest aquisition again tonight and cannot be more impressed...I love it more and more each time I play it!

I guess I love PJs.....this thing can get so many different vibes with just a few changes of the knobs....want growl? got it...want thump? got it....want grind? yup...there as well....

all it takes is a few twists of the knobs and moving to a different plucking position (I need to experiment more with my right hand position while playing).....

EVERYTHING ELSE IS FOR SALE......THE BGPJ5 IS ALL I NEED!!!

I don't own a Lakland yet, but I went shopping yesterday and I'm pretty certain I will be the proud owner of a 44-02 very soon. Just joined on here to read all the great things you guys have to say about Lakland basses. I've been reading about them for years, but just played one for the first time yesterday and was blown away.

Who owns a 44-02 and what can I expect from it?

Also, I was thinking about going for the cherry sunburst with a rosewood fretboard. I haven't seen too many of those floating around.

it's probably the most versatile bass you can get. the 1.6 neck and the body shape is SOOOOOOOOO comfy!!!

as far as the cherryburst, im fairly certain that its not an option anymore, but they come up occasionally on the used market.

It's currently an option on musiciansfriend and the lakland site (On the deluxe with the quilting). I hope I can still get it. That finish is sexy.

Rob:

Welcome! make sure to check out: Link Removed for more great info!

As for a 44-02, I owed a 44-02 fretless and still own a 55-02 (same but with 35" scale and 5 strings vs 4 strings)....what can you expect? well....where do I start? you can expect a nice J bass, a nice P bass and a nice MM bass all in one nice neat package....these basses have ALOT of versatility but you already know that!

Don't worry - as for being blown away, you are in good company! most of us were as well.....

as for the color combo...really one of my favorites....if Dan had not done the amber limited run, I would have ordered my 55-02 just as you described!

as for buying one, check with [email protected] He SOMETIMES has a few "b stock" basses that may have a minor ding or something else (usually very minor) that may save you a few dollars....

if you want more info, ask some more specific questions....

what type of music do you play?

Peace and again - welcome!!!

Doug
