Doug... you are all kinds of "great" my friend!! But I was at Firehouse Subs w/ my daughter, and even though she's seen me boohoo, I don't like to do it in public. Big ugly dude crying... not a pretty site ;):(.

Here's the link to the thread again since we move so fast here that it could easily be passed by. I'll be posting updates regularly there http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=633238

Thanks,
JJ
JJ - sorry to hear about your friend.....please pass along my prayers and thoughts...kinda wish you would have mentioned that on the phone....maybe we could have prayed for a miracle there.

The LOG CDs are mastered (thanks Chad!!!) and the artwork is almost complete (thanks Markus!!!)

after a quick QC check to assure that everything is A O K they will be going to the reproduction house....then they will be available for mass consumption!!!
YES!!!!

That bass mocks my shame while tormenting me to the point of insanity. I need to be slapped.

That's fine as long as you don't ask me to pet your monkey.:eyebrow:
:D
I lost track...who has the amber 4-76 again?
One of the Matts IIRC... MrMatt maybe??

Touch him! Love him!

Like we love our Lakies!

Then he must be slapped...and then we will dance.

Funny how we all seem to know and love the same stuff! Remember "Coffee Talk"? I was quoting that skit last night at work, hehehe.

BEM Alert - Here ya go J
 Aaaah... drooling here!! The reward zone of my brain is tingling right now, like it does when I stand behind the treadmills at the gym when all the fine foxes are working off some calories. :bassist:

I wonder if I can have my BEM very lightly sanded and sealed for all the glory to show up :rollno:
I think Lakland uses some tung oil which yellows with age, or maybe they just used a tinted oil back in the day. Either way, older basses have a beautiful amber tint that the newer ones don't seem to have :hmm:.

I happened across this one yesterday, and it is coming to Dallas!!
Yum yum yum!!! That case looks like the one that came w/ my F3nd3r Hot Rod jazz, a G&G IIRC.
New thread, new Lakland!

Picked this up from Poon this week. The BG rocks! Now I need another to string BEAD.
Now you're talking! Congrats! Black on black w/ maple is HOT!! Of course, red tort would look great too!
Yeeeeeeeaaaah.

Mine is a 2001 and figured (doesn't show well in the pic):

It is yellowish indeed and I like the looks. The thing is, the fretboard is pretty worn and grey in some places. Orange oil and mineral spirits clean and freshen the neck but not these worn spaces
