Nice photos! You look way too excited in the group shot:-)

OK, some pics from the Neon Trees/Mutemath/30 Seconds To Mars show last night in St. Louis. Our fellow Laklander Branden rocked the house with his Geddy Glaub, as well as a killer Guild.... Met up afterward and talked shop for a while. Great dude, everyone needs to get the CD and check them out live.

Very cool, Randy! Thanks for the pics. I was bummed I had to miss Branden and company on their last trip through.

I just think it's weird I always get comments on normal chatter and I see very recent chatter commented on. When I post a question about my Lakland and stringing I get zero replies and a guitar forum was able to help me out way more.

But I now went ahead and bought my strings. If I can't go through body i'll just use the bridge.

Crap. I missed your question completely. I've been using Rotosound 66s on my 55-02. I'm using long scale because I've never seen the extra-long scale I'd need to go through the body. I actually prefer stringing through the body, but with the 66s I can only go through the bridge. I've been sort of passively looking for a string that has a lot of zong and that will go through the body on a 35" bass -- without costing me an arm and a leg, that is.

Sorry, what *was* your question?

It's interesting to see the recent chatter going along - and realize a guitar forum gave more helpful insight than you guys did on a piece of Lakland content.

Well excuse us!! :eyebrow: I guess you think your the only one w/ a posts that get missed??

But, seriously... you REALLY didn't know to get extra long strings?? I mean Lakland 5ers are 35" scale afterall, and thru-bridge stringing eats up another 2" of string length roughly.

I don't play fives, but there are several string threads on the LOG board--and each one turns into a discussion of which five-string sets work best for stringing through the body.

NICE!

Did Branden let you play either? since you are a P-convert now...

was just playing my BG5 tonight... each time I play it....I get goose bumps.....

BTW guys, caught our buddy Branden and Neon Trees last night. Great show, and a GREAT guy- got to talk a bit afterward. I'll post pics later, some HAWT Glaub action as well as some Lakland infidelity (although forgivable, you'll see).

Not at all. I don't think you guys realized I'm not even mad. ;)
