I'm pretty safely assumpting ;) the active version of Midas and Nessie would be the 55-63 CS

Seen it in an older catalog:
55-JJ (or, double J) - passive
55-63 - active
The 55-07 implies humbucking pickups and coil tapping, right?
Right, that's what I was talking about. There have been no active single-coil Chi-equipped basses with this body style, to my knowledge.

*To clarify for those not in the know, "coil tapping" in this case refers only to single-coil vs. humbucking operation for both Chisonics at the same time. It's not possible, due to the bar magnets, to run one Chi as a single and the other as a humbucker at the same time.
