Great to hear!!!!

thanks for the story!

Well, my doorbell rang about 10 minutes ago... ran downstairs and was surprised to see a bass-sized box at my door. Whoa... holy turnaround time! As I posted earlier in this (or possibly the previous) thread, I sent it in for a twisted neck repair/replacement about a week and a half ago.

Opened the case a few minutes ago, and it's just like new bass day. :hyper:

Brand new neck (dare I say, much nicer than the previous even), all PLEK'd up (my first experience with a PLEK'd bass, btw) and beautiful. Wow.

Hats off to John and crew. He held to the deal that Dan offered me without question/issue and delivered in exceptional fashion. I'm very, very pleased.

Thought I'd share this as soon as I could to help expel any of that "not so sure about the new guys" worry that has been floating around since things changed over a couple weeks ago. I'm glad to say that, at least in this instance... and I have reason to believe that it won't hold up in future for others dealing with the "new" Lakland... it's all good <<insert 2 thumbs up here>> :bassist:

That's why I did it...so all the geeks would like it:-)

Sweet! that must have been cool!

Nice distortion!!! fits in PERFECTLY!!!

Thanks for al the kind comments about the Leno bit. The whole thing was a great experience. The sound techs were cool to us, and the their monitors we're amazing. We're still old school and haven't switched to in-ears yet, so we rely on good wedges. Kevin Eubanks stopped his car after the show in the parking lot, rolled down his window and said "that song is hot, and the band is hot!". That felt good. ha ha. Everyone involved there were right on, and we look forward to doing the show again down the road.

On another note - check out this version of Springsteen's "State Trooper" we did. Lakland into the distortion channel of the Aguilar AG500. It's dirty!! Link Removed

FUNNY But true!!!

man....that is a sad and disturbing viual there....

I'll take your word for it.

It gives me too much of a Mary Kay Cosmetics vibe... especially when I visualise the J pickup in cream as well. When I see it, I picture an overly made-up woman in her late-'50's who's holding on to her HS prom queen glory days, jumping out of her pink cadillac ready to pedal some product. :)

If you stick with the cream pickup covers, I think you'll need to change the name from Mr. Pink to Cream Pie. :hiding:
