maybe I need a "transparent" and "non-transparent" option....

BTW - Jes - you DO know Amber is going to pay for this right? although my wife JUST told me to keep Amber as well....too late...John Sold the DJ so Amber is off to Milwaukee soon!!!

I don't love it either, though I like everything else about that axe. I'd take that cutie and get her refinished in an amber or a caramel burst.. or maybe cherryburst. Then I'd find a PG that matches those blocks.

The downside? No idea what sort of grain's under that paint.

I think i've found my color!

I've been thinking about getting my natural 5594 painted and This color looks the most Awesome in every light

Not sure if black would work....I did a search on abalone pickguards and ALL of them were WAY more black than my blocks.....mine have green, pink, silver, darker blue etc.....changes with the light....some of the BEST abalone I have ever seen..and the green DOES fit in with the blocks..

Another example of why I don't typically prefer blocks.

Wouldn't a black guard work w/ that bass? Roger's new abalone would match the blocks, but I just don't see that working.
