sorry for the questions, but i am excited to read this...
1- offered as a 5er?
2- skyline?

My single coils w/the small housings are 4 1/8" by 1 1/8". Don't have my ones in the big housings yet

Thanks bro....a little small...I need 4 1/4 X 1 1/4 to fit in my 55-01 Deluxe....DARN!
I hear they're supposed to maybe be working on a drop in Chi for the -01's. Don't know an ETA.
Until then, I highly recommend the Nordstrands. If you're staying active, you can use Fat Stacks. I went passive in my -01 P/J and did a BigSplit (and and NP5). Huge.
I was originally going to go with Q-Tuners, but they were too narrow. I am thinking about Nordy Dual Coils. Hmmmmm.....I am going to go active.
Humbucker J at neck and 2nd P installed at bridge. Waiting on new Bull Deflectors to arrive so I've got some old ones taped on for now.

Yes...the DJ is being replaced with with a similarly shaped bass. The 44-75 will be the model designation. US 4 string basses should be available to order withing about a month, then 5s, then Skylines after that.

As for a fretless J 5 - as of now, the only ones available would be a JO/55-60.
A new smaller bodied J bass is in the works and the prototype is being built right now....there are a few US models on order but Skylines may be avilable later this year or early next year
as far as I know, there has never been a fretless DJ to date....other than Evan's US one.....
you would probably have to order a US one to get what you want....if you would like a JO/55-60 you should be able to order a Skyline with the fretless neck......or buy a used one and order a freltess neck from lakland....
that would sound killer!

there are not "srop ins" available yet and they cannot put the 5 tring pickups in the current 55-01 housing....the inards do not allow for it.....it will take some time but they ARE working on it!

yup......Dan had the idea but not the odrders to make it happen.....John is willing to take the dive! I think it will be a huge success!
