That makes it so much harder to choose...Is Jeannie Pickguards the LOG recommended dealer? Any idea on price? And I am sure I will have to send in my guard to get it done also.

I was hoping to see a Sadowsky killer, but at the price listed on the site, they're too expensive for what they are. at $4900, I expect a spalted maple top and abalone markers if I want 'em. Bear in mind that the fretboard pictured on the site is an $800 upcharge.

Personally, I think that price is Lākland's weakest point. Which is too bad, because the US basses are bloody exquisite.

Er, it kinda looks like the control knobs are really tightly-spaced, too. Or am I seeing things?

FWIW, the street price on 44-64s/Glaubs seems to run about 25% off of MSRP. I'd imagine a good dealer could work it down a bit further, too.

I recently heard somewhere Roger DOES NOT have a template for the LOG/55-64 bass. When I was at Lakland on Friday, someone ordered a LOG bass with a tort guard. I won't say who...
Leo told me they are cutting their own guards. In house.
So I am pretty sure Lakland can cut you a guard for a LOG bass.
