Not a developer, designer and ui consultant. The app is for a business application that needs to work exactly as the web site application already does which is also getting a facelift and ui reworking.

I've noticed the immense improvement taperwound B- and E-strings make to the tightness on the sound of my Lakland 55-60:

But they seem to be impossible to find. I'm not planning to string those two strings through the body, and I'd like a quite regular .045-.125 or .045-.130 set. Any tips?

You must have a better ear than me; my personal experience is that the difference isn't enough to count in either recordings or live sound. I've given up on tapers for both 34" and 35" basses.

I was struck by the difference when I replaced the stock strings on my bass with a set of taperwound Fender strings... I have now found three manufacturers:
[Invalid or Expired Link Removed] --> They don't really last extremely long IME.
[Invalid or Expired Link Removed] --> Quite expensive ;)
[Invalid or Expired Link Removed] --> Absolutely no GHS experience...

Any opinions?

The Fender strings are the ones that underwhelmed me; maybe the GHS or DR would change my mind...

I like them for some things, but I tend to be using flats mostly these days.

Hey All, even though I just got the Lakness Monster back, I'm having a bout of GAS and have decided to move this one in order to facilitate the purchase of another. Rule: FNG get's canned first. Can't keep too many around or else the warden will give me the stink eye. Check my sig for the link.

I'm not 100% certain on this, but I think that TB Laklanders can only sell their basses with permission from the Doude. You might want to check on that...
