Bunch of new stuff here, was interesting to pick up with you guys. The heart stopper for me was Markus' new HB though. The only thing that is better than mockups by Markus are his pics. I ain't sure his basses are as spectacular in person as his photos, ha!
I was getting prepared to play a show with my LOG PJ for about a month. It was great, I could nail both ole school P sound and also a clanky kind of P, then a roaring mix of specially cooked PJ combo (thanks Carl). Then SUDDENLY! I took a 55-94 just an hour before the show and felt that I was right there. The feel, the sound, the ergonomics is way better for me. What a fine instrument! Kudos to the guys. Not just an improvement of classical concepts, but a genius in refinement.
The bad part, I had to part with my 55-94 and will probably have to sell Nessie as well. I am few days ahead of being released from job and no clarity in the future yet. I am thinking if I should also sell the LOG PJ and get another 55-94 instead of all, or even a 55-02 for the time being
The LH-3 preamp stompbox Carl made on my request I got only today (don't ask), and it will undergo massive testing. It may be able to partly reconciliate me with the loss of the 55-94 but let's see.

I'm sorry to hear about your hard times as well, Denis. I sympathize more than you know after all I've been through in the last 3 years or so. I didn't have to sell any basses to get by, but I did have to let a few other pieces of gear go... I am so sorry to hear that. If there's anything we can do to help in the LOG community, we're here for ya!

Hm. Not such a big change from the headstock they ended up with, but I'm glad they changed it. I didn't like that line along the bottom at all.

Has anyone played the 44-75 yet? They're starting to grow on me (if i was into jazz basses right now). Was wondering how close they felt to the DJ.

from what I can tell, they are pretty much a DJ with a different upper horn...so I would think teh feel and playability would be very similar....

Gave my preamp pedal a ride last night. It's kind of odd in terms of layout (compared to the 55-94 onboard version), and looks like moonshine too, but that thing delivers! I don't regret a dime from its price. The two guys (guitards) that heard me try the Sadowsky stompbox #2 didn't care for it much, but this one showed them the light. If Carl didn't say he's done making these, I'd advise to get one any day. Well, I do (we all know Carl has a soft heart, so who knows).

Hey guys, I've been away for awhile after selling my DJ5 and 55-02D. I've been looking to pick up another bass for the stable. I stopped in my local shop and they had this great 55-02D there.
Not my first choice on color, but it's so light, less than 9lbs, and played so great. Of course it sounded great too, so I snatched it up.
I have a busy few weeks coming up so it's going to get a good work out. I won't call it "back up" to my SR5, let's call it a change up. Just a dream to play.
Lousy pic, but I'm too busy learning new material. I'll get a better one soon.
