Hi bass brethern, and sister'n,
I have a 44-60 JO that was made in '99 and has the crosshairs trussrod adjuster (i.e. two slots at right angles, not the more recent allen key version). Is there a specific tool that you use/recommend for making the adjustment? I need to tweek mine and am not sure what tool to get and where to get it. Any online links would be appreciated...
Thanks,
Jim
Hi All,
Just an update to the grounding hum issue I was having. I got the bass back this evening and am happy to report that the grounding hum has been eliminated. Brian from Lakland said that it was a "minor grounding issue with one of the pickups" and that the bass was dead quiet now - and am happy to report it very much is. Kudos to Brian and the rest at Lakland who took care of the issues I was having with the bass and many thanks, first rate CS!
That would be fun!!!
Once I get this graphic wrap on my jet, I'll hit the road!![]()

Me and my Lakie, last Friday:
Nona - Time To Move On - YouTube --> by the way, this starts with "Last Song", the slower song (after the drum solo) is actually "Time To Move On".
Nona - Long Way - YouTube
Me and her will be on stage again tonight with NONA![]()

Just let me know. I'll pick you up at the aeroport ;-)
Just to share the arrive of the first 44-51 to South America.... I test this bass playing old stuff like Blues,Hard Rock and Soul and I was complete amazed with the sound and feel of this bass... Playing more modern music I noticed a more focused and defined sound than my P-Bass ´76... Definitively this bass will be another best seller...
All the best,
Tommy

Thought i'd share these pics...
What's a Senior H.S. photo shoot without your Lakland
This is my son with his lovely 44-02 that I got him from the TB classifieds for his 16th Bday a couple years ago. Still looking good and going strong.
