Things are great! Graduate in May, working full time in photography (check out some of my work and buy a pair of shoes at shoecarnival.com, lol) and still playing a decent amount. Stuart is two and a half and seems destined to be a drummer. I hope to get around here (and especially the LOG) more, I miss you guys!!!

well....MOST of them go for well below that....I currently have a fretless 55-94 (2009 body 2005 neck) for sale for much less than that....keep an eye out here (or at: www.laklandowners.com)...you should be able to find a better deal....

is $2500 a good price for a second hand 55-94 deluxe sunburst in near mint condition?

Sounds good. Working full time in something like photography is amazing and rare. My daughter is now 3.5 months, and *really* eating into my online time. I hope she becomes a drummer as well. Or rather, one whut can keep the beat. Drummers are rare. Drummers that can keep it snappy and on? Priceless.

Putting # 396 back into the pot. Sadly, I sold my 44-01, succumbed to GAS. I know I'll be back again, but it could be a little while. So until then, I am turning in # 396.

Everything has been taken care of by Leo. I'm getting my new 55-01 fret ends smoothed and all will be well.

This was my first experience with ANY company's support where a person actuality called me back when they said they would.

I'm kinda thinking that I'm gonna be a Lakland man for life now.

My next Lakland will be a custom ordered 55-64 with a bound & blocked neck and tort guard on a 3 tone burst. I'll add a Nordy dual coil (like two Jazz pickups stuck together) at the bridge with a 3 way pickup selector switch.

It will be mine, oh yes....... it will be mine.

I want to thank everybody that is a member that has posted about the Skyline Basses ( I went back and back and back and,,,,,whew...) You guys made it easy for me to take the plunge site unseen. It's a Looong drive anywhere from Hemet to just find a Lakland Bass so mail order is my way. I bought with confidence and am glad I did.

btw the neck profile is, for lack of a better word, perfect !

That is what made me a Lakland player. Pups and pres can change, but the neck (for me) is the important feel I want just right.

I just want a Lakland version of the Am.Dlx P Bass 5 with a bound & blocked neck (like my old '62 P that had a '69 neck)
but with that Lakland "spice"..... like I said, "the neck profile is, for lack of a better word, perfect !"

RIGHT ON!!!! luckily our "main" drummer is a music major so he is always "snappy and on"....h ehelps me keep the rest fo the guys (and girls) in line!!!

Thanks! I appreciate it. I love stopping by here to check out these beauties. Honestly, it was tough to part with the 44-01, but I had a really great opportunity to get my hands on a Reverend (BH5), and the 'Fish really suits what I'm doing band-wise right now more than the 44-01. I will be back though, sooner or later I will father the funds to pick up a Lakland Jazz!

Two days ago (wasn't online yesterday), great gig in Gouda... I put brand new Curt Mangan strings on my Lakie and a non-tapered Ernie Ball .130 B-string, and GOD was it tight. I thought it really needed the tapered B-string but apparently it just needs a good one. Crikey, what a fantástic bass. The fretless Fender is awesome as well, by the way.

Oh, and I've bought a BBE Opto Stomp, which is a perfect match with the Lakland. So, all of you 44-60 and 55-60 users, if you need a great compressor which is subtile, get one.
