Ha! I don't think anyone's going to hold you to being a human scale.
I couldn't find the other post for some reason, but I took these pictures when someone else was trying to eliminate weight.
Congrats! I had a chance to play that one in the shop after Nate Mendel turned it down due to the color--big mistake on his part! That's a great one for sure.
I just picked up this 2006 US 44-64 and it simply kills, the neck is 1.5 jazz taper and may be the most comfortable neck I have ever played-(dare I say that as an owner of 2 Sadowskys?)
I am getting a Lindy Fralin PUP put in soon and then it will be P bass heaven.
I am loving it so far and although this is my first Lakland, it will not be my last.

Did that really happen? It has no bearing on why I bought it. I just really liked the color and jazz neck.
Yep! It was built for Nate (from Foo Fighters) and apparently the finish was too dark for his taste. I think it looks great in the right light.
Crazy, yeah it is pretty much the exact color I would pick on a bass. It is quite a player. I would love to have this neck on every one of my basses.
So true, though I had to save up for (count 'em) six years to get that one, so I don't know if I really count as being in the 'can afford a Sadowsky' club.
Or the 'can afford a US Lakland' club, for that matter, though I guess I could always just save up for another half-decade...
I get my 55-01 in a couple of hours so I'll post to that ......

I have to say that his bass player, Marcello Giulianni, is just so mad on his Lakland Bob Glaub.
What a groovy player and what a sound !!!

After fiddling around with it.. the fret ends are sticking out ... and they're sharp.... Playing for a night might be somewhat painful... kind of like playing a saw (I hope this isn't Saw 12, "the torture of the Bass player") I've already got an email in to Leo at Lakland.... I hope it's covered......Everything else about the Bass is great !
