Hah! Yeah, those look and sound really cool to me. The HB just depends on the color for me. I love hollowbody basses...got this one. A First Act custom shop Delia...AWESOME bass.
Yep, finally a HB that I like. Very sweet. Almost looks like a 57 Chevy or something.
Not a bad idea, I just thought that if its the EXACT same part, Lakland might charge me way more than an aftermarket Fender part might cost me....that and I already have one from a Squier in my parts drawer![]()
I might even keep the control plate black, who knows? The JO5 is black with a black 'guard and a maple FB. It has a Sadowsky preamp installed, which will be interesting.
Hey all, just thought I would update with what's going on with the Lakness Monster's LH3/ground hum issue. I've been in contact with Brian over at Lakland and it's being shipped back to the mothership to be looked at. It will be a couple of weeks before it gets back to me, but very happy to report that Lakland has been great about making sure I'm getting taken care of. Kudos to them for great CS.

Thanks very much Vince! But I just showed it once!Yeah...an HB would be a great companion for your 55-60! It plays so so well...I can't see how it could get better!

I'll have to give Brian a call, since all three of mine are a'hummin. Glad you are getting things worked out...and I'm just keeping my hand on the strings for now.

Yeah, I just figured the thread needed a little [less] dignity is all![]()
Markus' bass reminds me of the very first bass that I ever picked up way back when. Our bass player had just purchased it, and I wanted to check it out - a Gibson EB2 - must have weighed about 13 pounds! It wasn't Sonic Blue, but had a very similar shape.
Are you buying new or used? Some dealers like Bass Central will give you the weight of the exact bass on their site.
