now you said you are not an HB guy huh? well, i like the HB and am not a decade fan...BUT in that color with that color pickguard and an ebony fretboard? I COULD be convinced to buy a decade....maybe!

Also...I had a 55-94 for a very short time...I'm just not a 5 string guy, but I really do miss the sound of that bass...maybe one day I'll get that bass in a 4 string, after I get a Decade

Hah! Yeah, those look and sound really cool to me. The HB just depends on the color for me. I love hollowbody basses...got this one. A First Act custom shop Delia...AWESOME bass.

Two things...I never loved those HB's for some reason...always thought they looked to much like a PRS, and I always take the pickguards off my basses unless they are screwed to the body itself, likke a P or J...But that Blue HB looks so stinking cool and the pickguard is a huge part of it...well done, sir!

Thanks man! Designed the guard over a year ago...just didn't have a hollowbody to put it on The guys at Lakland matched it up and curt it perfectly! Like crazy perfect! Those guys are alright

why not just call Lakland and get them to sell you one? why not go OEM?

Not a bad idea, I just thought that if its the EXACT same part, Lakland might charge me way more than an aftermarket Fender part might cost me....that and I already have one from a Squier in my parts drawer

I might even keep the control plate black, who knows? The JO5 is black with a black 'guard and a maple FB. It has a Sadowsky preamp installed, which will be interesting.

Hey all, just thought I would update with what's going on with the Lakness Monster's LH3/ground hum issue. I've been in contact with Brian over at Lakland and it's being shipped back to the mothership to be looked at. It will be a couple of weeks before it gets back to me, but very happy to report that Lakland has been great about making sure I'm getting taken care of. Kudos to them for great CS.
