Did you contact lakland? They have an outstanding CS. If you bought it new then it is still under warranty. Every manufacturer will have blunders here and there. Any way, contact leo, he is a steller guy.

The only reason I mentioned the comment about the quality is that there are a couple of other smallish issues with the bass that did cause me pause about my purchase decision. I got a black bridge from Hipshot to replace the stock chrome/stainless one and I had to drill another hole into the body as the stock Indo bridge bass side mounting hole was 3/8" off towards the center. Of course it would have been a non-issue had I not decided to replace the bridge, but it is a QC issue none the less. The other issue I found is that the pan pot was torqued down so hard that it pushed the washer into the body one one side and the pot and knob are at an angle. I know it's an import, but for the kind of money they charge for them, I really didn't expect these types of things, especially from a company that is held in such high regard as Lakland.
I have contacted Lakland about the ground/LH3 issue, just waiting to hear back, of course it is the weekend, so not expecting a response until next week.

i can understand those issues. on the bridge, hipshot does not make the skyline bridge, so i can see that not adding up all the way. as far as the knobs, i'm with ya. shouldn't have been like that. maybe contact leo about that too. they might be able to fix any kind of probs they're having in the factory if they know about it.

I'm now the happy owner of this bass. Always loved Burgundy Mist, so this was hard to pass up when it came up. My first Lakland!

I still cannot get that Rick Turner of yours out of my head...the "big Al?" easy (sorry - not my thing....but the Turner..someday I will own one)...enough about that in a Lakie thread though!
