I think that the hollowbody's are a love it or hate it kinda thing, same with colors. Personally I don't like sonic blue, but on this it works nicely.

I think that the hollowbody's are a love it or hate it kinda thing, same with colors. Personally I don't like sonic blue, but on this it works nicely.

now...maybe a decade 5er in that color would make me "want" a decade....that would be magic....

I am with you...sonic on certain basses nah...but on an HB? to coin a phrase (an old phrase...the "old" lakland password!)

what pickup in the LOG bass?

The LOG has the nordy and I couldnt be happier with that bass.
The 35" scale makes the B string awesome.
The log is getting all the play these days. It covers just about everything I want to do.

I do what a burgundy mist Lakland, but purple...not sure...it would have to be the right purple.

I have the same maple/nordy LOG bass, and it has become my favorite bass to date. It's so versatile. I've played thrashy punk rock, soul, reggae, pop, pretty much everything with it, and it works so well in each situation.


And Marcus...that hollow body is just gorgeous.

I wasn't sure how recent his pickup swaps started happening. I bought the disc, for instance, but Fender says he even used a Squire on er... A couple of songs at least, iirc, so I'm not sure how far back the new pickups go in their music.

I did some further investigation, rechecked connections, etc and found that the red wire from the battery box that is soldered into the LH3 solo with no wire harness is a little loose, but still attached.

I also discovered that the ground issue is not existent when in passive mode. Perhaps this could explain why it just started happening out of the blue. Could the LH3 be faulty?

Two months into owning my first Lakland and I'm beginning to wonder about the quality that everyone is touting about. Maybe I got a lemon or it's just the Indos, but not a happy camper.
