Anybody here happy they got rid of theyre 55/44-02 and went to the Joe Osborn? Description? Im a bit lost at what to do, im a jazz guy at heart, just wanna make sure im not makin a mistake

So true, though I had to save up for (count 'em) six years to get that one, so I don't know if I really count as being in the 'can afford a Sadowsky' club.

Or the 'can afford a US Lakland' club, for that matter, though I guess I could always just save up for another half-decade...

I have owned several (and still own 2) Skylines and love them!

I would put them on par (quality wise) with many US built basses by "other" companies...

the 44-01, though the least expensive lakland is by NO means an entry level bass!

go for it and let us know how you like it!!!

I have to say that his bass player, Marcello Giulianni, is just so mad on his Lakland Bob Glaub.

Hey strangers, long time no see! Been super busy with work and school, but still playing my LOGgish bass 2-3 weekends a month. She's stellar! Here's a pic someone took recently just because she's a beauty

teh fret sprout may be an issue with the weather....most of my basses (US included) had that at one time or another....it has to do with the contraction of the neck wood in dry weather....if it is handled properly once...it SHOULD not happen again....

I have both for differnet sounds....

as people say you can get a "decent" (I think better than decent) J sould out of a -94/-02 but you CANNOT get a -94/02 sound out of a J bass...

any way you can keep both?

After fiddling around with it.. the fret ends are sticking out ... and they're sharp.... I had a similar experience with my maple boarded LOG bass last winter. What fixed it for me was moistening a sponge and leaving it in the hard case...after a few days, no more fret sprout!

I'm pretty specifically set on someday replacing my 55-02 with a US version. Same hue, possibly flamed instead of quilted.

it is about 5 years old. Pretty much flawless. bartolini pick-ups single and buck config.
I hope I did well because I bought it.

Things are great! Graduate in May, working full time in photography (check out some of my work and buy a pair of shoes at shoecarnival.com, lol) and still playing a decent amount. Stuart is two and a half and seems destined to be a drummer. I hope to get around here (and especially the LOG) more, I miss you guys!!!
