I dig that Modulus man!
Oh, um, and the Lakland too of course!![]()
Thank you sir, another Modulus is on it's way, a blacked-out VJ4. Then it's time to figure out the stealth Lakland fretless config.

Cool shot!
It would go well with the rest of the bunch.

Thanks, but I do have to give Dan credit for part of it, it was his pointers that helped me figure out how to get the lighting right.

Hey man keep at it...you will be the Ansel Adams of bass pics before ya know it![]()
You know, a high contrast black and white would look cool - off to Photoshop I go!

Here's some inspiration from my family. Since skylines come black, and fretless have the ebony FB, you can get close...then:
- Add a black PG (or remove it and put black diamonds in the screw holes.
- Match the headstock (the "stock" stock is maple, as on most skylines)
- Add black tapewounds (this pic was before I put them on this bass)
- And of course...NO LINES! I am not sure that's a Skyline option.

The family may grow in March. The steel gray/rosewood DJ is nice.

Maybe what you need is something like this? Why don't they have a smilie for :drooling: ?
I'm actually leaning more towards a PJ at this point, perhaps reversed.

Caught you in the middle I suppose, but a good one.
And lay off a guy, I can't help it if I like black! And to think my folks thought I would grow out of it someday, well it's 25 years later - they were wrong
