Got to play one today, one on consignment in Philly. It's a nice instrument. I hadn't played the -64 yet, and it lives up to what it's fans say about it. I'm sure a stock -64 will end up in my hands one day; if this LOG had been a rosewood, it would have come home with me. I will say that pics don't do the trans butterscotch justice; i just think it needs a yet to be designed color scheme for the guard.
On the upside, I am now down on getting a first run DJ 5 in the silver grey/rosewood. Yeah Nat...more cowbell, indeed.
BTW. This was at Bass Specialties, Glenn Marrazzo's shop in Bensalem (Nat...not far from you...we should meet up there some day) one of his regular customers stopped in, and was eyeing the LOG. This guy already owns the first Lakland five string prototype, serial X0051. That's one I want to see (he mentioned that there is a pic of him playing it on Lakland's Facebook page).

The US Hollowbody showed up today on the brown truck.
Seller packed her reeeeally well, thankfully.
Due to cold weather she is thawing out in her case.
Should be able to tune up and give it a rip shortly.
Hope this baby is "all that and a bag of chips" ...hahahah!!
