We are listening....

LOL. I was the sober one. Drunk guy fell into a friend, and I caught her. But sober and sneakers meant something besides my feet gave. I'm okay - finished 98% of my work for Monday's meeting on Sunday, then went to ER, they made sure I was put back together, and I got on a plane to Detroit at 7:30 Monday morning. I'm pretty sure, however, that I'm not welcome back in that hospital for a very long time. :rollno:

Between Jedi's new sea monster (which is the best looking p-style bass I've ever seen period) and Holdsg's sexy DJ, MAN! JEDI, take into account I've played a couple of 50's Fender P's but a Glaub (If I'm right?) in that color with a Darkstar excites me WAY more than any of the P's I've seen! Drop-dead, you'll turn many a head! Happy birthday brother!

Best regards,

bRoOkS

TOO SEXY!!! I'm amazed at the feel and quality! I've gotta get some sleep (if I can) so I can celebrate my birthday later w/ the Mrs. I'll plug her in later. Thanks Markus for passing her on to me :):bassist:.
Congrats, JJ! I've loved that one from the first time I saw it. Can't believe Markus got rid of the Dark Star :rollno:, but his loss is your gain!

Thanks bro, I've had a DS'ed Glaub before but it was my least favorite colorscheme--black n maple Skyline. I wasn't into 4 strings OR P basses at the time, so it was moved fairly quick. Tastes and needs are different now and I hope this one fits into what I'm doing.

Lol, that pickup came from me.... from Carl's 35" BEAD 4-76 that I had for a little while. It was a black n maple w/ optional MM basslines pickup. I didn't like the active DS sound so I sold or traded the p'up to Markus many moons ago.

So the p'up has come back to me :-)... it must love me hehe.

I own US and Skyline Ps and two Skyline jazz style basses. I have and will own Lull Js and Ps too. No Sads, too rich for what you get IMO. I find my Laklands will stand up versus any of those brands any day of the week. My sig says it all,

I have never played Lull's but have played several Sadowsky's....nice basses but I like the neck profiles and sound profiles I get from the Lakies better....IMHO....I would put Laklands against Sadowsky's any day.....interesting details: Lakland and Sadowsky use many of the same suppliers for their basses (i.e. bodies, necks, paint etc)....
