As I gaze over my Laklands (and my Spector) I wish I could change my user name.

They will not let ya chance your user name?
That's weird? Must be some sort of TB rule?
I have a US Spector too.
Love the bass a ton...
But the neck is a bit to thick. ( Am still keeping her though ) :D

I guess I am spoiled by the super thin fast as HE*&^%$ necks on my US Scheff and the 44-07.
The necks on those two Laklands are my all time favorite hands down. :bassist:

Well my 2 rare killer Bongos live in perfect harmony with my 3 rare killer US Laklands. I love them all :D
They are ALL very special basses. :bassist:

I know...I know....we keed...we keed.

he he....oh well....we somethimes have to play with the hand we are dealt (or the name we started with...)) ) ...interesting how our tastes change over time...

spoiled...you betcha! that Scheff neck is VERY nice....just a "string to narrow"....you make me sad every time you bring it up....

SOMEDAY a 5er Scheff (Inca silver most likely) will be mine...:D

The Scheff and the 44-07 truly are spoilers.
I have never EVER played a bass with a better neck that those two.
They make a person play better.
No joke!
:bassist:

agreed....BUT I htink you are playing better because you are plying MORE...that has somehting to do with it...

I DO agrtee that a nicer instrument is easier to play...making you want to play it more and the cycle continues...

Actually playing much less this entire summer.
Today I grabbed the 44-07 and plugged it into my Giant Mesa rig and cleaned my ears out for an hour. :D
The 44-07 was dead on in tune and had not been played the entire summer!
Just took it out of the case a few days ago when I sold the US Decade.
I was once again WOW'ed by the neck and overall feel and tone of the bass.
