its been a long time since statistics.

what I probably thought was kurtosis was probably skewness, the fact that the distribution is heavily weighted to about 10-15 individuals, that's all I'm trying to say, really....

There's a nice Markus Orange US Lakkie for a what seems like a wicked price here:

I'm sorely tempted, but I'm in no position to buy, and it would inhabit the same sonic niche as my Fender, anyway. But it's a P5, it's not a Skyline and get, it's Markus Orange. Someone, please put it out of my misery ;)

EDIT: Doude just let me know that it's the actual bass I've wanted to buy twice here at TB. Howcome it keeps getting tired of its owners?

USA! USA! USA! My USA Lakies. And as of a minute ago, my "Nakie Lakies", no guards as they're being sent off to Mike Quick to get some nice replacements.

The 3TS will have a cream/white pearloid guard, and goldie will get a black with gold sparkle...however, I must say that they look REAL nice nakie.

That being said, I STRONGLY suggest doing business with Mike (www.quickguards.com) if you're looking for a new guard. It IS a little annoying that he doesn't have every template ever like the JPG guy, but there's no fee to send him a tracing or original guard and he'll do a fantastic job for a reasonable price. Plus he has been awesome to me every time I've talked guards with him.

Five stars, thumbs up, whatever. Check him out.

For good measure, here's a pic of my DPLEII that he did a guard for. Can you say hot? ...Yep.

dunno J - WISH could Justofy it - somehow....I could buy it and then you could buy it from me later at an inflated price...kinda like a rent to own deal.... :)

I've always wondered what happens to the "oldtimers" in a club list like this one. Some of them, obviously, are still around, still post occasionally, and some of them we know well. Others, who knows? Maybe they just go riding off into the sunset with their Laklands strapped to their saddle bags. Or they become enamored with another brand. Its just something I've always wondered about. What makes somebody start tiring of Talkbass and the LOG? hmmmmmm.....
Good question. Scanning part of the list, I see folks who fall into three different categories: Left TB altogether, stopped posting in the LOG threads but still own Laklands, and moved on to other brands.
