Just started laying paint to canvas tonight on my first bass painting.
Taking an oil painting class one night a week.
Sketched out my Lakland Hollowbody as my first.
Want to hang it in my home office.

Cannot wait to get it completed!!

Will try to snap pics of it in progress as it gets more in depth.
Used this exact shot as reference and cropped in on it some.

I have 2 basses that could use the same!

I would have never thought to shield the inside of the pickup covers or to use aluminum shielding.

Bummer! A buddy of mine was scheduled to fly into O'Hare at 4:15 today, wonder if he's been delayed as well. Guess I'll find out later.

ended up being a 3 hour delay..Biden, weather, mechanical issues etc!

Then I had a 2 hour drive...by the time I got to my destination (Fort Smith AR) the only place for "dinner and a drink" was Wendys....I did supersize it though!!

Last week, I've decided that my Lakie is my main gigging bass, especially when I don;t know what kind of PA I'm going to encounter. The vintage Fender is fantastic but doesn't suit all locations. The Lakie just always works

I used it two weeks ago at a radio gig:

Glad you came to your senses...put that vintage Fender away and let it increase in value....play the Lakie!
