I am the proud owner of my bass teachers 55-01. I modded a Squier VM P with Hipshot tuners,Babicz Bridge, new blue pick guard,Chungerized Nordstrand
pickups, but what made it a deal for the 55-01 was my fret dressing/leveling.He played my bass and fell in love and offered to buy it or trade I took the trade. So I am now in the club(well no number yet but that's not important).I didn't think I would like a active bass but it is growning on me like my stomach.LOL

I modded a Squier VM P with Babicz bridge,Hipshot tuners,Nordstrand pickups, did my own fret level and dressing and today my teacher played it and feel in love and took his Lakland 55-01 w/ Nordstrand big singles off the wall and handed it to me in trade.I am now a happy Lakland owner.

Love my HB

anybody have a problem with an acoustic rattle/buzz?
it does not come through the pickups
I think its just the wires

anybody find a good way to deal with this?

Yep- the same thing happened to me and it's an easy fix.

You'll need to loosen the strings and carefully remove the bridge pickup. Then bundle the excess slack in the wires with a cable tie just take care not to disconnect anything.

Good idea I hadn't thought of that

Thanks bassfran!
