Does anyone know any dealers who have the US BG5's in stock? Besides bass central, there doesn't seem to be anyone carrying them.

Not that I've seen. And I've only seen a few at the factory over time-I guess orders for them are rare. Which is too bad, because they're really great.

not many out there...you can always order one and get EXACTLY what you want (neck, pickups, color, blocks etc.) BESt way to go...

For any Lakland, Sadowsky or EBMM bass, it's a good bet that tommixx briefly owned it at one time.

Yup that's the Tommix bass that he sold 08-09.I'm working a trade for it. A recent shoulder injury has me needing a light bass... this one is 7.8 lbs,Alder. It still has the aeros.

New Lakland owner here. I bought a 44-02 right around New Years.
After two months I must say I couldn't be more thrilled to have made this purchase.
Got my first bass in 1965 and have owned dozens of them over the years.
This Lakland is Frickin' phenomenal.
By far the sweetest bass I have ever played.

A lot of great looking instruments here. I will continue to look around for a US BG5, but it doesn't seem to be in the stars at the moment. Enjoy the beautiful instruments everyone!

Sooo...arrived safely in Reading, PA and gearing up for three days of intense bass therapy at Gerald Veasley's Bass Boot Camp. Both the 44-02 and the HB are with me on this trip along with a couple of others. I'm sure there will be a picture or two taken along the way.
