Anyway, it just got here today...haven't put tension back on the strings yet to let it adjust to the temperature. Not the greatest pictures, but here it is!

Yeah, it's frightening how dependent we are on our credit cards and the whole system. Well, it will make a good story for years to come, and it looks like you got a great bass. Congrats.

Gary: Living the dream! :)

so how do I get a LOG #?

ok I need some insight....just got a 44-02 limited I think its an 2011 due to the serial but I wonder if its a left over that has the same specs as a 2012? Second, I got the Lakland case with it, but the grove for the neck is mis-shapened...so the bass doesn't stay centered when picked up. Is this a defect and should I return it as defective? I also got some string buzz right out of the box and am hoping that the strings will break in and the added tension and a small bridge height adjustment might do the trick. Not feeling the new bass love yet.

Not sure about the case, but it's always been my experience (with my Laklands) that they will need a few truss tweaks after shipping. I've had Carl (THE MAN!!!) set up several Laklands, ship them to me, and the strings will be laying on the fretboard when I get 'em. After a day or two, the neck settles into east TN temps and humidity levels, and I can adjust the truss and get the action perfect. The saddle height has rarely needed readjustment, unless I switch string styles: exposed core vs full-size at ball end.

Congrats Gary!
I was close to buying it, buy chickened out.
I need ANOTHER killer 44-07 like a hole in my head.
And I already have a hole in my head, so? :D

Glad ya grabbed it!
You bought my 44-07's brother...one serial number away.
I think mine is older by one serial number? LOL

I might be listing that brand spankin new Buckeye Burl 44-94 and spiffy white Lakland case.
So if anyone wants it , PM me.
About a grand off what Bass Central had it selling for.
( tough grand to loose after only a few months ownership )
Will formally list it soon.
I just have no need for it.
And will keep the 44-07 and Scheffie instead I think.

Some new pricey camera gear is calling my name...so a bass must go :bawl:
