OK...
I have a hard time putting down my new acquisition, the 44-64 Custom ( Duck Dunn ) Bass !!!
I also went out and tried a few Fender Precision American, just to compare.... I went back to my Lakland in a hurry !!! The neck, the neck and again ,the neck !!!! The Hanson pickups really 'smoked' !!! Tone is much deeper and with more focus on the Lakland !
You should have a couple freed up spaces in your collection.,, right?

Yep! Just 3 more to go!
But, until then...it's time to head to FedEx![]()
Pulled the Skyline DJ4 out of the case last evening after at least 3 weeks of playing my more accessible basses. She was perfectly in tune! Very nice to play with flats. Gotta love it.
Just looked at that hollybody. With the black guard,, WOW. Deco Awesomness
Don't you love that!?

Now, the crazy neighbor who suddenly hates the sound of electric bass is another matter.![]()
Yessir! And then today's bass lesson featured the CAR Duck Dunn and the Inca Silver JO4 with Chi-Sonics. Wow. Quite the duo. Also stayed in tune, within 5 cents. Sounded good even with me playing!![]()

Yep.
The electronics.
The pickups and preamps are all US made Lakland Hansen electronics in the 5502.
The same electronics you'll find in Lakland's USA basses.
The 5501 has Bart MK1 pickups and preamps make in Korea.
Figured I'd jump on board the Lakland group...
