There was an early run (maybe the first???) Of Glaubs that were natural with maple boards. People must love them as they do not come up for sale often.

The first run Glaubs were LPB, CAR, Sunburst, Black and Natural. I don't know for sure (because I don't work there) but typically color runs are done in batches of 30 so I have to assume there was around 30 of each at a minimum. The natural at the time never sold well and I doubt there was ever more than 1 or 2 batches made. It's hard to tell for sure because the way to know is the text on the back of the headstock (the first run only said "Made in Korea" not "Designed in..." on them) and there has never been enough for sale on the used market for me to check out via photos. I have seen 3 for sale in the past 6 years give or take. Two of them had rosewood boards with natural bodies. Considering that there was an option of either my guess is that there could be way less than 30 of the natural/maple board combo. The funny thing is that they don't sell for much used even though they are rare.

all original 1966! It's sweet. Sounds and feels like a champ. Good wear, not over the top...but definitely worn. Non original case, but otherwise...it's just sick.
Sweet, did you get it? There is a guy in tows selling a '66 binding and dots, but he wants like $7500 for it... I told him good luck.
