I Just got my 55-02 Deluxe last night. I have to say I really love this bass. It is exactly the tone I wanted to add to my arsenal. NBD is always a great day!!!:hyper:

It's that maple fretboard.

You secretive tradin' sommunavitch!! Didn't even tell me when I offered you the split Fralin for the '51 the other day!! And I thought we were close..., just goes to show...

If it came in Burgundy Mist, I'd be selling plasma with you.

I just may have to buy one and refinish it. Been thinking about doing that with a used Duck Dunn.

...sorry, it will always be the Duck Dunn to me, never the 44-64...

VIVE LA CANARD DUNN!

I agree...I always use the "old names" and not numbers...

even with a refin you are STILL below the cost of a 44-94 or 55-94!

Just a quick drive by to say Hi!
Nope not dead, just busy. :ninja:

Working, traveling and trying to make outdoor time to enjoy the whopping 3 or so months of summer here in the northeast.
I just have not been doing the TB thing very much.
Nor playing my basses much for that matter :rollno:

More into the BBQ, Sam Adams and the pool at the moment...hahaha!!
HAPPY summer to you all :bassist::bassist::bassist:

ahh....relaxing...I am SURE you deserve it!

Gotta enjoy the good weather while we have it!

I loath the both of you for your beautiful pictures...and I brazenly covet your basses, minus the vintage poker.

Nice swap, that Chef looks killer against that background!

LOL! Thanks man!!

let me guess! I frankly don't know because I ain't a JB guy.
By the saddles, I'd say it is a Skyline. By the color combo, I think this is one limited edition, when was this? in 2012?

Do I get a cookie?

You get a cookie Comrad!

LOL! Don't be but hurt JJ! I had an agreement with Brian not to tell anyone.

Yeah, that was my second thought. (My first being "damn nice basses!".)

Thanks!

Here's mine. US Glaub P/J with J Neck. I traded a Sadowsky NYC ultra vintage jazz for this plus cash and have no regrets. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Love it!!

You get 1/2 of a cookie. It's a skyline, but I have never seen another in this color with the b&b neck or the concentric knobs from the factory. As far as I know it was the only one like it that has been through Bass Central from what Beaver has told me.

Owned a skyline JO about 4 or 5 years ago that had the concentric knobs and was told it ordered that way. At one point I think I heard they could actually be ordered that way, but can neither confirm no deny.

NICE!!!!

so each of you get bass of a WAY different color profile that the rest of the collection.

GREAT trade... Brian, I am glad you are going to keep the P-51 blonde!
