I believe that's the 44-07 (and 55-07) - there are a mere handful floating around.

The 44-07s and 55-07s have humbuckers. They have a single coil mode, but don't have the lows, and mid texture in single coil mode, the straight singles have.

I'm trying to join the club. Like a fool I've already passed on a couple of good opportunities. I pretty much need a Skyline Glaub to pop up (price and I prefer 1.75 nut). Seems like I would prefer a maple fingerboard and colors of black, white(or blond), sunburst or natural.

which is not a color I prefer (although gorgeous). Also not sure how you guys feel his adding of the J bass pickup affects the value.

There are some Black and Maple ones around, but I don't see them that often.

I'd love to find a Skyline PJ, but with a Jazz neck. I don't think the bass is devalued at all by the addition of the J pickup. Like you, I'd prefer a different color, but if you want the 1.75 neck, that might be a great bass to grab!

Had my first gig with the DJ5 on Friday and I think the chrome is staying. Never played a bass with the cover installed but, I think it actually felt perfect when it came to the little slap I did. I'm sold

OK, you guy's are really twisting my arm.......I have my 2 55-01's, but I seem to be seeing a lot of DJ's pop up again. I sold my DJ4 a last year and am starting to get the hunger for another one now!!!!!!! Looks like I will be doing some shopping really soon!!!!!

I'm looking for a 55-01 with a nice spalt top, but every one I have seen has a less than impressive top. Very little spalting or flame.
