There is a fuller exposee on the LOG, but here's a great mod performed by a fellow LOGger Eskimo Spy. Now hanging out in the HOLDSG stache.

Nice to see a dark Bob back in the stable G!

That's just not fair! All I want is a P5 again, and you're hoarding them all!!!

AWESOMENESS!!!

Sorry Randy....this truly was an accidental purchase.....well.....more of a right place right time purchase!

I promise not to hoard any more P5s.....I got

* vintage P
* vintage PJ
* more modern PJ

I THINK that is all of the P Power I need...

I'm watching Austin City Limits, Wilco is playing and the bassist is using a Lakland BG with a Darkstar. It sounds incredible. Sits in the mix perfectly.
John Stirratt is awesome. That BG with Dark Star that Gary just bought was put together based on Stirratt's bass. Stirratt primarily plays Laklands and vintage Fenders. When I saw Wilco last year, he had a burgundy mist JO.

Side note: John P., who runs Lakland, plays guitar sometimes in a Wilco side project called Autumn Defense with Stirratt and Pat Sansone (the guy who alternates between keys and guitar in Wilco).

At the second-most recent Lakland GTG in 2010, Stirratt and Sansone both showed up. I chatted with John for a couple minutes about basses--super-nice guy, and he signed the back of the headstock of my shoreline gold Dunn w/Dark Star. There's a pic floating around on the LOG.
