yup...sounds like Carl....

I find the OPPOSITE....I feel awkward when coming to visit Carl at times...

cool bass.

I guess there were 2 made and Mario Batali bought the other at an auction.

So I decided to sell off my rig (anyone looking for a gk head/mesa cabs?!) and the Spector that has gone largely unused since acquiring my 44-02. Hopefully I can sell them in a timely manner, but the plan is to use the funds to get a GK combo and a new(used) Lakie!

IDK where to start though! Do I want to go traditional with a jazz, or stick with the 1.625 neck that I love in a -01, or go outside the box with a Scheff/decade? Who knows! Can't wait to move this gear!

Bittersweet...I finally found a buyer for the 44-60 LE Chi-Sonic. (Wow, is the cash sale market tough or what?) Happy to move an "extra" bass to a new home, but still gonna miss her. Still have the Duck and DJ4 to represent the Lakkie side of things.

Comparison to Fender Geddy Lee would be interesting as well. The Geddy neck is nice but too thin/flat to me.

I've yet to own or even play a Sadowsky, for what its worth.

Downsized, yes, they share that, but that's about it, when you are talking about a passive DJ4 versus the passive+active Sadowsky. The Sadowsky pre is very good (some call it magic, I wouldn't go that far) The 1.45" nut on the WL is narrow, but the string spacing at the bridge is standard for a jazz, so the WL is just tapered more. The mids switch on the WL is a nice feature. I have the same kind of switch on my 44-07.

Hey all Laklandites...

I've got a dirty volume and pickup pan pot on my 55-94 that I tried to get to (to apply De-Oxit D5) but it seems as if the volume has a block type electronic thing on it and the pan is obstructed by a circuit board


Advice?
