FWIW I recently added an OBP-3 to one of my 55-02's and I will say that I prefer this over the LH3. I will probably add them to a couple other of my 55-02's now. I also want to try the Aguilar 5 string J/MM pup combo just to see how they differ from the LH3 pups.
One thing to consider is the Aguilar music man pickup is NOT coil splittable.
Yes, that is something that I have considered. Believe it or not I have rarely used the split on the MM pickup. I will favor a little more of the MM with the blend for some tones, but never really use the split.
I do the same with the MM pickup. Rarely if ever use the split toggle.
That is one of the things that use for the different tones. I like the variety of tones from the splittable MM pup, as mine is Bartolini.

Do we think that a HB-30 neck would fit onto a Decade body? Or are they completely different heels/pockets?

Just curious. I love my 44-02 and have been thinking of getting a fretless one. I can't find many videos or reviews. And haven't heard much around here on Lakland fretless basses. If you have one, can you share your thoughts? I owned a 44-64 P/J fretless for a while but sold it several months ago when I needed some cash. I kinda miss not having a fretless. And my DJ4 has been gathering dust and I've been thinking of selling it for a fretless. Thanks
Not sure how much I can offer on this other than if you like the neck feel and playability of your current fretted Laklands then a fretless experience should be very much the same. The FL neck I have if very nice. Ebony fingerboard I believe and as set up plays perfectly. That said, in retrofitting the FL neck, because of the relative overall dimensional neck thickness differences between the fretted and fretless necks at the pocket I found it necessary to add around .040 of flat, full pocket maple shimming to raise the entire neck up to a height where I could get into the saddle adjustment. Low B mostly, which I find consistent across all the Skylines I’ve owned. I have a nice 5/64 to 4/64 across the board at the 12th fret with sufficient relief and sound and playability are as good as any.
The current GHS Pressurewounds seem to have a bit higher tension that my usual rounds so that limits some adjustability. I'd like to try a slightly lower tension flat, but not sure what that is. Tapes might be too floppy.
The shims (they are two different shades as I forgot to Tru-Oil the edge of the second one as I was in a neck swap frenzy that day. I'll correct at the next string change):

Thom, itching for a fretless ? I don’t have one either and would like to have one. Thinking about letting the DJ4 go? I have read quite often people that have done that and then they miss their DJ4. We have all had one that we let go and regret it later. GAS for a fretless is strong for me!

Even if it fit (which I am not sure of but would lean towards that it won't) it wouldn't work because the bridge would be in the wrong place. Unfortunately you can't just change a 34" scale to 30" by swapping the neck.
I have a 44-94 fretless with Barts. She sure is sweet. I'd love her more if she didn't have lines as all my other fretless have side dots where the line would be instead of in between. I had a 55-02 fretless with Nordstrands. Great tone but could anchor a yacht. Didn't keep it long.

Yeah, same here with the 44-64 I owned. It had lines and though useful, I would have preferred it didn't. I want one without lines. Which I know the Skylines don't come with clean fretboards.
