Beautiful! Was the pick guard an add on feature that is available on the 55-94? It would look good with an ebony fret board too, but then again, I've been itching for an ebony fret board and you're not helping. Lol.

Yes I ordered the guard with the first deposit. Ebony would look good. I thought about it but I really wanted rosewood for this bass. Too much maple and not enough rosewood in my arsenal
My fellow Lakland aficionados I have a question: I really like the chrome pickup cover on my JO4, and would like to add one on the JO5. Does anyone know which size would fit?Left: my JO from 2004. Right: my new (to me) JO5 from 2003. Absolute beasts of basses.
Hello LOG people! How does one join this group? I have two Lakland basses that I love. A 2015 55-02 deluxe and a 2012 55-64. These are my main players.

Works for me, but there’s a legacy bunch that came from the Lakland site “group”, numbers being issued for that.

I'm sure it's a quartz watch. Those batteries die. Usually they last longer than a year ... but just swap the battery with a new (better) one and it'll (hopefully) keep on tickin'

After I bought my 73 jazz I put my 44-94 in a case and haven't played it in 6 months or so. Coming to this thread always makes me want to pull it out.
It needs a new pre-amp as the volume isn't very strong and when I pull out the volume knob to by pass the active the volume disappears almost entirely. The bass EQ also very scratchy and will sometimes come in and out.
