Lakland Owners Group #69

Was hoping to be opening a NLD box today only to be disappointed when I received a delay notification that it wouldn't be here until tomorrow. One day, no big deal, right?

Well checking the tracking details has me questioning what in the world is going on?! It was in Minnesota early yesterday and then magically reappeared in Atlanta this morning. I have Reverb PTSD ever since this crazy Lakland purchase and I’m hoping there isn’t something shady going on.

It’s just a waiting game at this point but I would appreciate any thoughts and prayers. 😂

TORTURE! What's on the way?

I'm surprised this is showing up this way with UPS tracking. I usually see this stuff with the post office...or UPS passed it off to the USPS which they often do. I literally have no faith in the USPS tracking system...at all. I ordered two different parts over two days about 6 weeks ago for my motorcycle from a place 2 hours north of me in Missouri...shipped USPS...first piece went to Honolulu first and the second piece went to Bismarck, ND first. Both pieces took over three weeks to get to me. Go figure

I’m wondering if this is one of those shared deliveries with UPS/USPS. It was shipped ground residential but tracking usually indicates that it was transferred to local delivery, not sent back to the origin.

Nothing surprises me with the USPS anymore. My eldest daughter worked for them as a rural carrier for 17 years. She finally got so fed up with the crap that was happening where she worked that she finished her route that day , walked into her boss's office, placed her keys on the boss's desk and said this was her last day...her boss said that they expected a two week notice. She asked her boss if they gave employees a two weeks notice before they laid them off...crickets.

Added this one to the family....was on the "B-Stock" list direct from Lakland, but Brian let me know that there was nothing B-stock on this one. Just did not have a the normal neck in stock that went on it. So, they added the ebony neck which I think pops for me!!! As always I am never disappointed in my Lakland basses!!!

Oh man alive, that's gorgeous! It's like an inadvertent limited edition.

I agree
I sent a package certified mail and it never got to where it was supposed to get to. It ended up being returned to me over 3 weeks later. With no description.

Also, after the second day they had no idea where it was so the tracking was useless.

I think the USPS needs to be privatized. That's just my opinion and that is not a political opinion for all those watching this thread and wanting to report me. :-)

Glad you got that one as it certainly piqued my interest. That weekly email is a real temptress! Nice score!

How do we get on that list?
I think I was added when I bought something off their website. Not sure if just emailing them can do it but might be worth a try.

Just email them and ask to be on the distribution list! There is a LOT of temptation weekly....haha! Plus you save some money instead of buying from a retailer.
