Hi Claudio, the size is the same, however the 51 is a slab body, no belly or forearm contours, so it will feel bigger.

44-51 can be ordered with/without contours. I would order with contours myself.

Here is some information direct from the gentleman who produces the CNC programming for all of the bodies.

"Same body, just different routes. The 51 has a route that the metal plate covers. Also, the split coil route is cut to the shape of the pickup vs. rectangular. If you are interested in a 51, I have an extra coming up with a buckeye top and a cool roasted neck with roasted birdseye. Short wait!

A 51P Technically has a slab body with no contours. A 51M is the same, but WITH contours. Same as the 4464"

There seems to be a very unique 51 that is coming up.

If you're interested in it please PM me and I will give you the contact information for Steve at Lakland directly.

I might be interested but I don't have the spare money right now :-)

Just a thought here nothing concrete, I have no inside information or scoops. I was pondering the future a little. Do we think that eventually
it will get so expensive to build a Deluxe 55-94 that Lakland would ever consider just moving to only 55-14's and continuing to import 55-02's
While I love my flame maple caps, in the scheme of things they have little to no impact on how that bass sounds but a great deal of impact
on the cost of a particular bass. If push comes to shove I could see a time years from now when this might happen. Just my take of course.
I hope it doesn't. Because of.................. this

I know I posted this last year but the guitarist REALLY nailed it this year...except for the first "solo" the Keyboardist went over him....
Don't listen too much to the bass....

The Bass is a 2015 Skyline Lakland 55-64.

O love the Dire Straights feel!

The original has the same feel but not as much "Dire Straights" (IMHO as we have it)

Sorry for the distortion....the 2 track was not watched as closely as the multi-track but that one had some major issues (Issues with the laptop)
