The LH3 preamp is coming to me with no pots. Is there any reason that I can't re-use the pots that are already installed with the MK-1?

I would think they should work just fine but I thought I would throw this out to the Lakland brotherhood for confirmation.

It will work. The pots are decent. I would swap the push/pull volume pot out, it's a cheap piece of crap.

Thanks BP! It's safe to say that cutting those tracks was the beginning of the end for me as far as resisting the Lakland tractor beam. The way it went down: I joined the band that had just parted ways with their bassist during post production of their album. After a couple shows they decided to delay the release so I could re-track all the bass.

It would be a one day marathon session to track 10 songs. Before I left for the trip to the studio 200 miles away, I asked my bud
@petch if he'd let me take his Lakland P Bass cuz that's what you do...you always bring at least one P to a recording session.

Out of three basses I had available to me, my Warmoth Jazz, which I thought I loved, a Fender Geddy Lee Jazz owned by the producer and "The Goose", a 44-64 custom...it was a no brainer, the Lakland won the day hands down! All the tracks recorded with the Lakland direct through a passive DI. The Neopunch delivered!

There are plenty of cool tracks on the record for those who dig hard driving rock. If you don't mind a little shameless promotion... Blackstone - "Cast the First Stone" is available for digital purchase just about anywhere.

And now, back to your regularly scheduled program...hey, that is one bitchin' bass @MingusBass shared with us! Also some pretty badass Wilkins stealth finishes there @Black Bart!

You in with them for the long haul???? I hope so...because I want some vinyl with you on it (YES! Vinyl!!!)

You don't know the half of it...I have already cut a deal for my third Lakland in three months. I got it bad, real bad. I can't keep this up or I will have to build an addition to the house.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to make the kind of commitment the band was looking for. This does not rule out any future collaborations with them though, the door is open. I would love to be on vinyl too! For now I have to settle for kilobits.

I know what you mean as far as "addiction"... No addition to the first but my home office/ music room is at its like!....

Has anyone heard any buzz from Lakland about 2016 offerings? I'm thinking of selling my Cherry Burst Maple fretboard, Bartolini equipped 55-02 for a LH3 version with Rosewood and 3 tone sunburst, but would like to know if anything special is on the horizon.

Wow. After seeing these, I'm convinced my next refin will be a matte job! I really love Lakland's Coral Pink, and I can only imagine how good (and unique) that would look in matte.

I would go for it, unique indeed and matte finishes have the added benefit of not sticking to you under the hot sun, stage lights or in states with high humidity if you wear short sleeve shirts.
